Cristiano Ronaldo got his 50th goal of the season

The Portuguese forward also registered his 150th La Liga win with Real Madrid during the game against Málaga.
Cristiano Ronaldo got his 50th goal of the season against Málaga. The forward, who is the top scorer in La Liga with 39 goals, has hit the back of the net 8 times in the Champions League, twice in the European Super Cup and once in the Copa del Rey. He is the first player in the history of Spanish football to reach 50 or more goals for a fifth straight season.

It was only during his first season as a Real Madrid player that the Portuguese star failed to reach this spectacular tally. He finished the 2009/10 campaign with 33 goals and bagged 54 at the next time of asking. His best return in front of goal to date was during the 2011/12 season: 60. He closed out the 2012/13 season with 55 goals and got 51 last year.

150 wins in La Liga
Ronaldo also registered his 150th La Liga victory with Real Madrid. He has achieved this milestone during his sixth season in the championship, a division in which he has played 194 games and scored on 217 occasions. His first win came on his debut, a match he also his got the ball rolling on his goal scoring record. That was on 29 August 2009 in an encounter against Deportivo in the Santiago Bernabéu.

Of those 150 victories in La Liga, 84 came in the Bernabéu and 66 away from home. Cristiano has featured in 29 league encounters this season, picking up 23 wins and scoring 39 goals. His highest number of La Liga victories in one season came during the 2011/12 campaign, when he notched up 32 goals during 38 appearances.
