10 times Cristiano Ronaldo proved he is a genuinely decent human being
1. In 2014, the parents of 10 year-old Erik Ortiz Cruz - who needed a brain operation - wrote to Ronaldo and asked if he would donate a signed shirt and some boots that they could auction off to help raise the funds they needed. Ronaldo responded by offering to pay the entire £53,000 for the operation, plus the follow up costs for his further treatment.
2. In 2012, after nine year-old cancer sufferer Nuhazet Guillen was invited to watch a Real game, Ronaldo volunteered to foot the bill for his medical treatment.
3. Ronaldo donated £105,000 to fund a research centre at the hospital which treated his mother for cancer
4. As a global ambassador for Save the Children, Ronaldo has done work to support victims of the 2015 Nepal earthquake and children caught up in the Syrian refugee crisis.
5. He was named as the world's most charitable athlete by dosomething.org in 2015.
6. Back in May 2015, he stood up for a Japanese kid who was trying to interview him in Portuguese… and getting laughed at by reporters in the audience.
7. After being subbed during a Real match against Getafe in 2015, Ronaldo gave a shirt to a fan in the crowd. He was then inundated with requests from other fans… so started hading them out to everyone.
8. In October, he wanted to meet former Rangers star Fernando Ricksen - who now suffers with motor neurone disease - so invited him to a Champions League at the Bernabeu.
9. He came to the aid of one of his fans in December, by getting some overly aggressive security guards to back off and let the kid meet his hero.
10. He has a habit of looking after pitch invaders. When others might be terrified by the sight of a crazed fan belting past security and running towards them, Ronaldo will greet said fan with a smile and a hug - as he did with this guy at Euro 2016.
So, there you have it folks. Official, indisputable proof that Cristiano Ronaldo really is a top bloke.

Cristiano Ronaldo wears MASK as Real Madrid star picks son up from school in fancy dress
Ronaldo, who turned 32 earlier this week, collected his son, Cristiano Jr, from a fancy dress day at school and appeared to get in on the act.
Surrounded by his body guards, Ronaldo threw a cape around his back and pulled a white mask over his face, complete with black and white wig.
He even got his friends involved, as they too were seen wearing capes and masks as they walked from the school back to the car park.
